Selection of Candidates will take place on the basis of the performance in CMAT (Conducted by AICTE) / MAT examination (Conducted by AIMA) or JEMAT examination (Conducted by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology) and percentage of marks in Undergraduate, Post Graduate Degree examination.

Performance also be measured based on GD and PI to be held at IBMR premises. GD/PI dates will be announced later on.

As part of the admission process for the best MBA course in Kolkata, original testimonials are to be produced at the time of admission. Original MAT/JEMAT score card is to be submitted at the time of admission, keeping at least one photocopy with the candidate themselves. 3 passport size photos (one for exam department, one for identity card and the third for library card) are to be submitted at the time of admission.

Apart from MAKAUT students, original migration certificate should be collected from the University where from the candidate has acquired the last degree and submit the original copy to the examination department within one month from the date of admission, keeping at least one photocopy with the candidates themselves. The decision of admission committee relating to admission is final.
